Software Defined Home Automation
Stupka, Dominik ; Brejl,, Milan (referee) ; Povalač, Aleš (advisor)
This thesis is about development and construction of systems for building automation. At the beginning it´s focused on usage of building automation. Short describe used topology of installation and available systems on the market. The second chapter is about designing of hardware’s elements systems. Then it’s describing control unit Raspberry Pi 3, microprocessors for communication and slave modules. For my thesis I am also engaged in interface communication and designing of I/O systems. The third and fourth chapter is describing software equipment’s of the system. The parts of microprocessor firmware and manner of control logic creating and visualization in control unit module are described in details. Last chapter contains the description of construction of testing module and measuring of system parameters.
The wireless communication system EnOcean in building automation
Múčka, Jan ; Vojáček, Zdeněk (referee) ; Marada, Tomáš (advisor)
The task of the bachelor thesis with research character is to create a clear description of the EnOcean technology and to evaluate it. Switches and sensors based on „energy harvesting“ use natural energy from the surrounding environment, for example by force action to switches, sensors from temperature gradient or light energy.
Access and Security System in Building Automation
Troják, Pavel ; Ing. Radek Kubina (ELMONT GROUP, a.s.) (referee) ; Zuth, Daniel (advisor)
This thesis deals with automation of buildings, provides the possibility of automation in today's intelligent buildings. The issue of building automation for security and access systems is solved in details. This thesis contains the basic rules of the systems and procedure in the implementation of access and security systems. The target of this thesis is the proposal of the access and security system for buildings. Part of the thesis is also creating a model, on which will be presented the access and security system. This model will be used by the company ELMONT GROUP as a basis for dealing with contracts.
The technique of intelligent buildings
Bojanovský, Tomáš ; Charvát, Pavel (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
The thesis provides a basic concept of intelligent building and related fields where this technology is appropriate. The next section describes the systems used in this field, especially the so-called communication buses and protocols. For an overview of developments in this area there is also a list of major companies involved in this technology. As a practical example is then described by air temperature and air control facilities in the building A2 or A5 in a building located within the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Brno University of Technology. For both cases are also proposed possible treatment.
M-Bus in building automation
Sluka, Filip ; Vojáček, Zdeněk (referee) ; Marada, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis is about the M-Bus (Meter Bus), which is the industrial bus for the energy consumption data and the state values transmission in the building automation systems. This document describes signal transmission principle, M-Bus protocol, network topology, the types of components, the M-Bus wireless version and also provides summary of the M-Bus technology and the comparison with its alternatives.
Control panel for smart house automation
Širůček, Pavel ; Vojáček, Zdeněk (referee) ; Věchet, Stanislav (advisor)
This thesis deals with smart house automation, the application of products in this field, and their use. It also describes a specific solution developed in this work for smart house automation and its hardware and software properties. The developed smart house automation panel is a compact device designed primarily for non-commercial use. It is a multipurpose device whose specific function is set by the user by selecting control instructions. This work contains a description of these instructions, the software for building them, and examples of practical applications.
New laboratory tasks for the course "Building automation"
Zamazal, Martin ; Zuth, Daniel (referee) ; Marada, Tomáš (advisor)
This master’s thesis extends the teaching possibilities of the course “Building automation” in two areas. The first area is the visualization of KNX educational panel, which is made through iRidium software package in several variants. The second area is the design and manufacture of the educational switch panel with different types of switches, in which students can simply try wiring, which are commonly used mainly in civil engineering. Part of the second area is the creation of several teaching tasks.
Family house automation system
Heczko, Dominik ; Cejpek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Dosoudilová, Monika (advisor)
The thesis deals with the automation of a family house. After an introduction to different automation options, a system based on an open-source project Home Assistant is proposed. Commercially available devices are connected to this system to provide control of appropriate functions. For each device, the configuration procedure is described. Furthermore, a prototype of a smart lighting controller and a smart thermometer is designed and built.
Selection of residential control system
DUDA, Ondřej
This diploma thesis deals with the selection of a suitable control system for a family house and its subsequent design. In the theoretical part of the diploma thesis I first deal with the concept of building automation and the differences between automation of commercial and residential buildings. I also deal with the theory of dividing systems into several groups according to their structure and functionality. In the following part of the theoretical part I deal with a brief description of the most used systems. From the open systems it is the KNX / EIB, LONWORKS and BACnet system. From closed systems, the Czech system iNELS, which I chose as a system for project. The last described system is DALI used for lighting control. The last part of the theoretical part is a description of the areas of automation themselves, such as lighting, heating or integration with home appliances. In the practical part, I describe the building for which I design the system, which is a new building, specifically a two-storey family house. I also deal with the design of a selected system for a two-storey family house, specifically the design of heating lighting and control of blinds. When I program the entire system in addition to the design and whose functionality I also verified on the iNELS test case. The conclusion of the diploma thesis is a financial comparison with a similar system Loxone.
